TYNEMOUTH, William (1914-1977)
Blyth 1932; North Riding 1936; Gloucester 1946; Newcastle 1947-1970 (DL 1951, CL 1964)
He was prominent in both the AAL and the LA and was Honorary Treasurer of the latter 1967-1970 and made Honorary Fellow in 1970. But his chief monument is the new Central Library in NEWCASTLE opened in 1970.
